My comics began as a way to articulate the pain, confusion and happiness of my early-twenties. I understood quickly these moments were relatable, much to my relief. Portraying my most private events as humorous became cathartic. I spent years drawing friends and relationships, eventually compiling a book with McNally Jackson Books in New York City.
Recently, my comics have undergone a transformation. Approaching my next decade, I no longer choose to display my private life in the same way, yet I still crave making amusing and relatable moments. I try to articulate, the best I can, both big and small emotions in my life. I find, again much to my relief, they are still relatable. These quotes and drawings continue to be a work in progress, evolving alongside me.
